Garrett Named to Subcommittee on Oversight and Management Efficiency on Full Homeland Security Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Nov. 29, 2017)—Congressman Tom Garrett (R-VA) is proud to announce his membership on the House Committee on Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight and Management Efficiency. He will continue to serve on the Foreign Affairs, Homeland Security, and Education and the Workforce Committees.

Congressman Garrett: “Joining the Oversight and Management Efficiency Subcommittee is a tremendous opportunity,” said Garrett. “I steadfastly support laws that prevent terror attacks on our homeland, secure our borders, and defend against cyberattacks. This assignment will help with these efforts as well as reducing government waste.  I am excited to have this opportunity to play a larger role in those efforts. With this new role, I will work to ensure that the Department of Homeland Security is an efficient steward of taxpayer resources while strengthening the core mission of protecting our homeland.
